Engaging Patients is the Future of Health Care

Mayo Clinic President and CEO, John Noseworthy, M.D., shares his perspectives on the future of health care and the implications of the Affordable Care Act with Fox Business during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2014. Dr. Noseworthy explains the issues facing the health care system and highlights the following key areas that we need to address:

  1. Providing quality patient care that is efficient, accurate and delivered quickly.
  2. Coordinating the delivery of patient care to reduce the current fragmented care model.
  3. Modernizing Medicare to provide a reimbursement model with better and safer patient outcomes.
  4. Enabling health care consumers to engage in their care and to be accountable for their own health.
